Protecting your personal information is our job! Every day, a vast amount of personal information is given to Queensland Government departments, agencies and statutory bodies.
The Queensland Government respects your privacy and has established rules to ensure that your personal information is protected.
The Government has approved the introduction of Information Standard 42 - Information Privacy [PDF 55kb] to ensure Queensland Government agencies protect the privacy and security of personal information about individuals.
All personal information held by Queensland Government departments, agencies and statutory bodies must be collected and managed in accordance with 11 Information Privacy Principles. New guidelines cover the collection, storage, security, accuracy, use and disclosure of personal information.
