Visas and work

Visa requirements

You will need to have a student visa to start your studies with the college. Visa information is available from the Australian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate General in your country. For applicants who are already in Australia it may be possible to change your visa.

For all enquiries and further information on studying in Australia, visit the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

Working while on a student visa

International students need to apply for permission to work through the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

Once approved, international students can work up to a maximum of 20 hours a week during the term (not including work that is a formal registered part of your course), and unlimited hours during recognised periods of vacation.
