Instructional facilities
When completing theory-based training, students study in air-conditioned teaching facilities, well-equipped workshops and seminar rooms.
As well as receiving training through the campus’s commercial operations, students also gain hands-on experience through a number of extra facilities located on campus.
Information technology
Each student residential room has internet connection lines, and there is a computer laboratory available with internet and email access. The campus also employs a full-time information technology officer.
Library services
The library is well equipped with reference materials, technical and recreational materials, audio-visual facilities, displays, a photocopier and computers for word processing.
Sports and recreation
Campus facilities include:
- tennis courts
- a basketball court
- cricket oval, football field
- swimming pool
- horse yards
- billiard room
- barbecue area.
Students are invited to participate in Longreach’s many sporting clubs, churches, and social and cultural clubs. Local sporting clubs include camp drafting, polocrosse, rodeo, motorcycles, rugby union, touch football, tennis, squash, netball, basketball, softball and volleyball.
Facilities for hire
The Longreach campus can offer facilties for hire such as:
- a conference room
- auditorium (seats about 80 people)
- a computer lab with 30 computers
- catering services
- accommodation in dormitories.
Recreational facilities for hire include a swimming pool, horse arena and tennis courts.
